Take a photo - Icon contest

Here is my submission for Take a photo group icon mini-contest.

I tryed to mix old and new design, with what "Take a photo" means for me.
- Text is "pixel art" by myself, I hope quite the same as the previous group icon
- Diaphragm (is it the correct word ?), is my own idea, and made by myself too.
- Background picture [[link]] by 89-RAW-89 [[link]], please vist his beautiful gallery ! His shot is great part of the icon, so please congrats him much more than me ^^'


I was not quite satisfied with the previous background. Even if I like sunset colors, it was too much aggressive to my mind. This one is better. I searched for a beautiful picture in the featured gallery of the group, 'cause I wanted to show one of the great picture from the group
I also work again on the colors and the effects on my diaphragm, to get it a bit darker, to push the contrast with the background.
I saw that I forgot a a frame around the previous version, that's better now

To my mind, a closing diaphragm is what "take a photo" really is. A beautiful thing, a button pressed, and a moment saved
As I said it, my first idea was to make a closing diaphragm. But even with one month more, I wasn't happy with my animation...

So the result is here, mix of all my ideas, without animation
